Aaron “Godson” Hernandez has been a hip-hop artist in the Northwest Territories for over 16 years. He has released 10 albums & has performed in various parts of North America. Godson was recently featured on CBC's hit show Dragons' Den & was also a finalist for EMI's Record Deal competition. He is the ambassador for the NWT campaign "My Voice My Choice" which focuses on youth on drug & alcohol abuse. Godson was the only rapper ever to write for the show Canadian Idol, where he also performed & filmed a video that kicked off Season 4. Godson also performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics as part of the NWT contingent with a huge performance at BC Place as part of the medal ceremonies. Godson has 2 TV commercials that have aired for Drinking & Driving prevention for the Department of Transportation for the NWT on CBC & APTN. His latest video & CD features an appearance & collaboration with J-Roc of The Trailer Park Boys (Jonathan Torrens), which has had much internet success on YouTube. Godson can accommodate to any audience. Having no profanity in any of the songs he performs makes it easier to entertain any age.
